The MAC Middle School Teachers and students have been participating in a professional development course through Shippensburg University called Chesapeake Champions. In an effort to educate our students about watersheds, the Chesapeake Bay, and our ability to make an impact, the middle school students have installed a rain garden on school grounds. Native plants will be planted in the garden in an effort to purify water that flows through the area. The middle school students will be educating our younger students about the importance and significance of rain gardens. This is project that has the potential to impact teachers, students, community members, our local waterways, and the environment at large. If you are able to help by donating mulch or plants, please see the wish list page on our website.
