What is the Gala & Auction?

The Gala and Auction is Montessori Academy’s capstone fundraiser that includes a live and silent auction, dinner, open bar and various games. It’s a great time to dress up and have a “grown up” night on the town. Funds raised through this event go directly  into our general operating budget to cover operating expenses and help broaden the educational experience of our students.

Attending the Event

Where can I get tickets?  How much are they?

Individual tickets are $125 per person and a table of 8 is $900.  Tickets include an elegant evening with fabulous appetizers, a delicious dinner, cocktails, and live music and are available here.

What does formal attire mean?

Cocktail dress, long or midi dress, dressy pants suit.

Suit, Dinner Jacket or Sport Coat with dress shirt, dress pants and tie.

I’m interested in attending but don’t have a large enough group to fill a table. Who will I be seated with?

Guests with commonality are grouped together to fill tables of eight. For example, they may have children who are similar ages or work in related fields.

Is it appropriate for children to attend the Gala and Auction?

The Gala and Auction is a fun event for adults only and includes alcoholic beverages. 


Can I preview what will be auctioned?

Sneak peeks will be shared prior to the event and families will receive the digital auction booklet. Classroom Creations will be on display in the school lobby during teacher conferences.

What if I can’t attend the auction, but want to bid?

Contact a friend who is attending and give them a maximum amount or tell them you MUST have that item, no matter the cost! If you don’t know of anyone attending please reach out to


What is the gift card lot?

Gift cards donated by parents are compiled into one “lot” that makes up one of our most popular live auction items each year! Each family is encouraged to donate a gift card to a local restaurant/chain/retailer or from our Donation Wishlist.

I’d like to contribute but am not sure what to donate. What types of things are needed?  

  • Items from our Donation Wishlist (shipped directly to the school).
  • Season tickets to sporting events or autographed memorabilia. 
  • Experience tickets such as amusement parks, museums, theater performances. 
  • Vacation Houses or Timeshares.
  • Boat charter or cruise vouchers.
  • Monetary donations. 


Can I promote my business?  

Yes! Platinum and Silver Sponsorships are available that include tickets to the auction, advertising, and special recognition! You also have the option to advertise in our digital and print auction booklet. 

How can I help?

Invite family, friends, colleagues, to attend and share the Facebook event on your page. You can also donate an auction item, reach out to local businesses to secure advertisements for the booklet, or contact for additional options.
