Pennsylvania Tax Credit Programs

Tax credit programs in Pennsylvania allow businesses to make a gift to education programs at Montessori Academy of Chambersburg and receive a tax credit in return. The combination of tax credits and deductions can reduce the cost of the gift by more than 90%.

Who is eligible? Businesses authorized to do business in Pennsylvania who are subject to one or more of the following taxes:

  • Personal Income Tax
  • Capital Stock/Foreign Franchise Tax
  • Corporate Net Income Tax
  • Bank Shares Tax
  • Title Insurance & Trust Company Shares Tax
  • Insurance Premium Tax (excluding surplus lines, unauthorized, domestic/foreign marine)
  • Mutual Thrift Tax
  • Malt Beverage Tax
  • Retaliatory Fees under section 212 of the Insurance Company Law of 1921

When are applications due? Applications are accepted by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development on July 1. Timing is critical to these programs as applications are approved on a first come, first serve basis.
